Cakrawala Merah, Jakarta – Indonesian ministry of creative economy (Ekraf) has an ambitious economic goal and growth by 2029, maximizing the potential contributions of the creative industries, in which fashion and food are among the prioritized sub-sectors within the industry.
“The industry has to be supported by all stakeholders and private sectors as the government itself cannot work alone,” said the Minister of Creative Economy (Menekraf), Teuku Riefky Harsya
He added, that the government appreciates fashion and culinary festivals, as they can support the development of the creative economy and open up employment opportunities.
The Jakarta Fashion Food Festival (JF3) is one of the events which is in line with the direction of national development as outlined in President Prabowo Subianto’s Asta Cita. Those sectors, namely fashion and food improve the quality of employment and developing the creative industry as a new force in the national economy.
“The ministry (Ekraf) is still new, and has just been established for nine months. There was Kemenparekraf (ministry of tourism and creative economy) which placed both sectors (tourism, creative economy) under a single ministry. Now, President Prabowo has a commitment (to achieve economic goals) by breaking them up (tourism and creative economy),” said Teuku Riefky Harsya during the opening ceremony of JF3 2025 on July 25th in Summarecon Mall Kelapa Gading (MKG) north Jakarta.
Summarecon is one of the leading property players in Indonesia, especially in the development of townships, and has held JF3 since 2004. And this year, they have a new vision of fashion, lighting up JF3 2025 with the theme ‘Recrafted: A New Vision.’ The festival embraces celebrations of creativity, craftsmanship, and sustainability, continuing over two decades of shaping Indonesia’s fashion scene.
One of the fashion models at JF3, Vebby Aurelia said that she was happy participating in the JF3 Model Search. Moreover, she won first place in JF3 Model Search.
“Thanks God that I won the first prize in JF3 2025. And I promise to keep achieving career aspirations next. And I encourage other junior models, or beginners to participate in the next JF3, in 2026,” said Vebby Aurelia.
